On 7 March 2013, Mr.Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, accompanied by Ms.Phasporn Sangasubana, Minister, and together with Heads of Offices in Team Thailand in Singapore, namely, Thai Trade Center and Thai Airways International, attended “Amazing Thailand Roadshow - Singapore 2013”, organized by Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Singapore. Ambassador of Thailand was warmly welcomed by Mr.Pichai Raktasinha, Director, TAT’s ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific Market Division, and Ms. Kanokkitika Kritwutikon, Director of TAT’s Singapore Office. 

Ambassador of Thailand, as the Guest of Honour, delivered the welcome remarks to more than 100 participants from Singaporean tourism industry. He envisioned that through the constructive partnership of the tour operators and agents in Singapore and TAT, the number of tourists from Singapore would increase one fold from the present. 

In 2012, there were 821,000 tourists from Singapore who travelled to various destinations in Thailand which is accounted to 21 percent increase from the number of visitors in the year 2011. Tourists from Singapore, both Singaporeans and foreigners residing in Singapore, have constantly enjoyed the warm hospitality, exquisite cuisine and affordable goods with high quality while traveling in Thailand, together with the excellent service from Thailand’s national carrier, Thai Airways International, which provides regular flights daily from-to Singapore-Bangkok and other destinations.
