Ambassador of Thailand attended the Thai Career Day 2015 at NUS as the Guest-Of-Honour

19 March 2015 – H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore attended the Thai Career Day 2015 at Yusof Ishak House, National University of Singapore, as the Guest-of-Honour. The Thai Career Day 2015 was organised by the Thai Student Society Singapore, in cooperation with the Thai Language Programme, NUS, as there has been an increase in demand in the labour market for Thai students in Singapore and foreign students in Singapore who have studied the Thai language. The event was sponsored by the Royal Thai Embassy and the private sector, including PTT, SCG, Facebook and Garena, which provided the talks throughout the afternoon.

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also brought in the Mobile Consular Unit to provide advice to the Thai students as well as the Thai community in general on consular matters, with the registration service for the Thai nationals living overseas. A special talk by given by Ms. Vowpailin Chovichien, First Secretary and Consul, in order to increase awareness of the Thai community in the Embassy’s consular services including the issuance of passports, Thai National ID cards, and certificates for the military service postponement, as well as emergency contact of the Royal Thai Embassy.
