On March 28, 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, along with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, visited NorthLight School, a specialised school for students who are less academically inclined and interested in vocational studies.

 

The Ambassador and Embassy officials received a briefing on the school from Mdm Sung Mee Har, the Principal, and exchanged views with the school’s management team on Singapore’s education system. They also toured various vocational training classrooms and facilities to observe the school’s hands-on learning approach.

 

NorthLight School collaborates with the Chaipattana Foundation on an annual cultural and educational exchange programme between Thai and Singaporean students. This initiative provides underprivileged students from remote areas in Thailand, who are enrolled in vocational courses supported by the Chaipattana Foundation, with the opportunity to broaden their perspectives and gain inspiration from Singapore’s vocational education and training system.
