On 3 April 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore called on Mr. Loy Hui Chien, Director-General of Southeast Asia II Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, upon her assumption of duty.

Both sides reiterated close and cordial relations between Thailand and Singapore and discussed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various areas, including regular exchange of high-level visits and cooperation on more future-oriented areas, such as digital economy, green economy and carbon credits, food security and education. They also discussed the preparation of the 14th Civil Service Exchange Programme (CSEP) meeting to be hosted by Thailand in Bangkok in June 2024, as well as possible collaboration to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Thailand - Singapore diplomatic relations in 2025, such as a seminar on Thailand-Singapore bilateral relations and a cultural event to celebrate common heritage of Thailand and Singapore.
