On 30 April 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore paid a courtesy call on Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence of Singapore, upon her assumption of duty.

Both sides reiterated close defence ties between Thailand and Singapore through the cooperation on joint bilateral and multilateral military exercises and regular exchanges of high-level visits between the two countries. They also exchanged views on regional issues, such as situation in Myanmar and the superpowers rivalry in the region, as well as ways to enhance bilateral cooperation on cybersecurity and connectivity.
