On 8 May 2024, Mr. Kok Ping Soon, CEO of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore at the Royal Thai Embassy, to introduce the SBF and discuss on collaborations to promote business partnership between Thailand and Singapore.
SBF is founded in 1980 and currently has more than 30,000 member companies. It aims to help boost Singapore businesses' competitiveness through their journey of digital transformation, sustainability and workforces and to promote business opportunities in the global markets. In this connection, SBF is organizing a business delegation with 25 companies to do business matching in Thailand in the areas of digital, e-commerce, future food, food technology, etc.
On this occasion, Ambassador Ureerat welcomed close economic relations between both countries and cooperation between the Embassy and the SBF could further strengthen such relations. In addition, the Embassy also focuses on promoting people-to-people ties which has long been a strong foundation for bilateral relations.
