During 17-18 March 2013, a group of 18 Royal Fellows and Associate Fellows led by Mr. Mati Tungpanich, Chairman of the Academy of Arts, visited Singapore and paid a courtesy call on Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore. The group also visited and had a discussion with senior management of the National University of Singapore (NUS), as well as its Thai Language Program at NUS’s Centre for Language Studies. Apart from NUS, the group also visited Singapore’s National Library, National Museum, National Art Gallery, and Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS), where the group was greeted by Mr. Tan Keng Jin, Head of ISEAS’s Public Affairs. The visit was part of the group’s study trip to Singapore and Malaysia to learn and exchange ideas on national arts and cultural institutions.
