On 18 March 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Mai Phuoc Dung, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Singapore. Both sides exchanged views on cordial relations between Thailand and Viet Nam, as well as close cooperation between the two countries and Singapore in various areas, such as, consideration to upgrade bilateral relations from strategic partnership to comprehensive strategic partnership, cooperation on defence and security, renewable energy, trade and investment. Currently, Singapore is the second largest foreign investor in Thailand and Viet Nam.
