On 2 September 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, attended the Singapore Red Cross Awards 2024 & 75th Anniversary Commemoration, where H.E. Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, was the Guest of Honour. The President presented awards to those who have played an important role in supporting the missions of the Singapore Red Cross Society. Dr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society, along with Dr. Apichart Chinwanno, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society, attended the ceremony and received the Friends of Singapore Red Cross Award. The Award not only reflects the close cooperation between the Thai Red Cross Society and the Singapore Red Cross Society, but also highlights the role of the Thai Red Cross Society in the international arena, especially in the ASEAN region.
