On 25 August 2026, a Thai delegation participating the Singapore Convention Week 2026, led by Mrs. Prakairatana Thontiravong, together with Mrs. Tongurai Limpiti, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited (BAM), paid a courtesy call and discuss with H.E. Mrs. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, at the Royal Thai Embassy.

 

The two sides discussed the objectives of the visit and exchanged views on the strengths of Singapore’s mediation system, particularly the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre (FIDReC), which handles disputes between consumers and financial institutions, and Credit Counselling Singapore (CCS), which provides financial counselling and debt management assistance. They also discussed how Thailand could adapt relevant Singapore practices to further strengthen its own mediation mechanisms.
