On 11 May 2026, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy, along with ASEAN Ambassadors/ High Commissioners and officials in Singapore, attended a working lunch hosted by Mr. Stanley Loh, Permanent Secretary of Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM), on the occasion of his official introductory engagement upon assuming his duties.

During the luncheon, Permanent Secretary Loh extended his sincere appreciation to ASEAN member states for their enduring friendship and vital contributions to Singapore’s socio-economic development through workforce support. He noted that foreign workers currently comprise approximately 40 percent of Singapore's total workforce. Furthermore, as Singapore navigates an ageing population, the government is accelerating the integration of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) across various sectors to mitigate labor shortages.

On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. highlighted the significant role of Thai workers in driving Singapore's economic growth and underscored the Royal Thai Embassy’s active collaboration with MOM on various initiatives, most notably through the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group. She also commended MOM for its steadfast policies aimed at enhancing the well-being of foreign workers, particularly through infrastructure developments such as modern worker dormitories designed to reduce overcrowding and foster better living standards.
